ENERGETIC TESTING
______________________
AN EXPLANATION AND RATIONAL
There are many methods energetic testing used to evaluate disturbances in the body that cannot be understood from a conventional medical model.
This applies to the identification of stressors in the body, as well as appropriate interventions to help the body heal.
The underlying theory behind such testing lies in how a particular patient’s system responds to the energetic quality of whatever is being tested. Let’s explain that a little further.
Everything in the universe has a “signature frequency”, that is, a characteristic vibrational state that encodes for, or determines its’ physical state. Another way to think of this is that the “signature frequency” is the blueprint or instructions for the physical manifestation of matter. Solid matter, while it appears stagnant, actually has an underlying resonant or vibrational activity. It is known that the atomic and subatomic aspects of any material substance resonate at a particular frequency.
So how does this apply to a health care setting and helping people recover from difficult health problems?
Energetic testing is a means of asking the questions:
- Is this something that is irritating or causing a stress to the body?
- Is there a substance that will eliminate the irritating/stressfull affect of the irritant?
- What organ systems seem to be under stress or not working as optimally as they could?
If there were a means to detect the initial malfunctioning or stress points in the body, before they evolved to a pathological change or disease state, that would be helpful in terms of maintaining good health – wouldn’t you agree?
It is both practical and responsible to guide the asking of questions (the process of challenging different substances to the body’s energetic field) though a more academic or clinically relevant awareness of the patient’s challenges. These other information inputs come from the history, physical exam, laboratory work and other possible studies.
Energetic testing can be an extremely efficient and cost effective means of evaluation and treatment. Conventional lab testing of course has its’ place and should be used appropriately in a diagnostic work up. Lab testing however is very specific in what it is looking for, as well as how it looks for what it’s looking for. In many circumstances, conventional lab testing is used simply to rule in, or rule out a medical diagnosis - that is, a named disease process, usually that sheds no light in terms of underlying causes or processes leading to dysfunction. In many cases it represents a rather crude or insensitive and non-specific means of drawing conclusions of a particular disease process.
THE ONION EFFECT
A path to improved health and functioning is really a process of simply removing those encumbrances to normal physiology that interfere with an inherent capacity for robust health and joy. This plays out in the clinic as a gradual peeling away of toxic interferences that block health. Health just is – we don’t need to embattle things to have it. It is simply a process of removing obstacles to cure. Stated another way, this is a gradual peeling away of those things that no longer serve us, that obstruct our natural capacity for feeing good in our bodies.
Energetic testing is a means of asking the body what is next. What are you ready to leave behind so that you can feel better?
ACCOUNTING FOR THE WHOLE
Energetic testing is a means of accounting for the sum effect of everything that is happening in the body at once.
There are about 60 trillion cells in the average human body (that’s thirteen 0’s after the six). There are about 100 million chemical reactions each second in each cell. That calculates out to 6,000,000,000,000,000,000,000 simultaneous events happening each second!
Please just pause and reflect on that for a minute.
That’s a whole lot of stuff going on at one time.
Does it make sense to limit the gathering of information about what's going on in your body to just a few isolated events (conventional labs) for your evaluation of “what’s wrong?" Or, would you rather access your information from the sum whole of the body’s events? This is what energetic testing attempts to do.
Autonomic Response Testing
(the following is presented courtesy of Deitrich Klinghardt MD, PhD and the Klinghardt Acadamy of Neurobiology)
Dr. Harris uses Autonomic Response Testing (ART) to evaluate the patient. ART is Deitrich Klinghardt's advanced composite of hands-on examination techniques that uses changes in the autonomic nervous system as the primary indicator of practitioner-elicited stress responses in the client’s body.
The “direct resonance phenomenon” (ART II) allows the practitioner to scan the body for specific infections, toxins and other “invisible” problems.
ART Basics:
In ART the body is stressed with different modalities:
* Electromagnetically (placing substances in the field)
* Psychologically (APN)
* Structurally (pushing on a teacher area, squeezing an organ or gland, stressing a joint etc.)
* Bio-chemically (giving a medication orally, i.v. or via other route)
The ART practitioner then assesses the organism’s response to the stressor usually by muscle testing.
Then the practitioner interprets the stress-response. The guiding principle is as follows:
* If a mild stressor causes a stress response, the organism is already under severe stress regarding this variable (substance, psychological issues etc.).
* If a moderate stress is causing a response in the absence of response to a mild stressor, the organism is under moderate stress.
* If only a severe stress is causing a stress response, the problem of the organism related to this issue is only mild.
Now therapeutic modalities are tested. Whatever neutralizes the stress response is an agent or a method that will help the organism cope with the underlying cause of the stress (unless it is determined to be an allergen).
The stress response that is used in ART is most visibly expressed by the autonomic nervous system.
ART is different from other forms of muscle testing in that it uses the latest findings of quantum and biophotonic physics to aid in the assessment of the body. This allows for a much deeper level of testing not available before to traditional kinesiologists. Tools such as a polarization filter and signal enhancers are used to get stronger, clearer feedback from the body. ART often finds things that are missed with traditional kinesiology. ART practitioners in general also have the ability to test for a wider variety of root causes of illness, including specific infections, toxins, and emotional disturbances.
ART is used along with traditional tests to determine the root causes of illness. It is not used to diagnose diseases.
ART has been shown to be the most accurate of all kinesiology techniques, with the best reproducibility and inter-examiner reliability.
ART Laws
1. The First Law of ART - the law of resonance between two identical substances ( this law has been most clearly identified by the research of Y.Omura, MD): if a substance is held in the energy field of a person and the indicator muscle weakens, the identical substance is in the body (resonance between two identical substances). If the substance is only in a particular organ, ganglion or other structure, the test substance has to be held exactly over this area. A variation of this test is the most common A.R.T. test: the examiner finds a structure that therapy-localizes (while holding it, the indicator muscle weakens). The indicator-muscle becomes strong, when the resonating substance is placed anywhere on the patient.
2. The Second Law of ART - 2-Pointing: if the examiner therapy-localizes more than one structure, ganglion etc. during the A.R.T. body scan or examination, two structures (or more) may be affected by the same toxin or infection, or one structure may affect one or more others. If the indicator muscle weakens while holding one of these structures but strengthens while holding another (which weakened when held alone), there is a) either a cause/effect relationship between the two or b) they are both affected by the s toxin/infection . The 2nd law of A.R.T. is therefore really a variation of the 1st law.
3. The Third Law of ART- Resonance between the examiner and the patient: the examiner's body acts exactly like any other substance held into the energy field of the patient. If the doctor is toxic with the same substance that is causing the patient's illness or that is stored in one or more of the patient's tissues, the test will be affected as outlined in the 1st and 2nd law of ART. Therefore, the 3rd law is really a variation of the 1st law also (but overlooked in any other school of kinesiology).
As outlined in the ART manual, the patient also has this effect on the examiner. Therefore no two examiners can find the same problems in a given patient, unless both examiners are free of stored toxins, infections, root canal filled teeth, untreated scars, active psycho-emotional conflicts, have not recently consumed foods they are allergic to etc. The 3rd law results in a simple postulate: the ART practitioner has to continuously strive to improve their own health. The practitioner should be "ahead" of their healthiest patient (Quote: Ann McCombs, D.O.).
